Joint owner and a director of Wineware, I enjoy trying out the
latest samples of wine accessories, before they go 'Live' on the
web site. This way a lot of fine wine has to be drunk in the line
of duty, (a tough life I know, but someone's got to do it!!)
We try
to source the latest and most efficient
wine accessories available and it becomes worthwhile and really
pleasing when customers do take the time to email, or phone, to
say 'thank you for our glasses, decanters etc, they arrived the
next day, wonderfully packed and we have used them already'.
Any
free time I get is spent on the golf course and I'm currently a
member at Worthing Golf Club.
Chris
I'm the senior part of the joint ownership of the company (that's
the nicest way to put it). My wife and I began the company in June
2000 with the mainstay being 'anything to do with wine, apart from
wine' and we still live by this today.
I'm a Leicester City FC season
ticket holder for my sins, and
apart from doing many miles in supporting the Foxes my other loves
are collecting and drinking Fine Wines, and listening to and collecting
Smooth Jazz and Soul Music, with Brian Culbertson being the current
favorite.
My earlier career was as a Financial
Futures Trader on the LIFFE market in the City of London where for
the latter years of the open outcry market (before everything became
screen trading) I was self employed, having previously worked for
Citibank and a few smaller independent financial companies.
I love
my line of work and position and although being a bit of a workaholic
I love helping people, making their
wine drinking more pleasurable
and enjoying the same comforts myself (not forgetting I get to use
and try the majority of our products!!)
With over 170 years of proud history behind the company, Nachtmann was taken over by Riedel Glas in September 2004. As the largest UK Stockist of Riedel we felt it was essential to offer some Nachtmann wine related products.
From literally hundreds of products to choose from, we have initially opted for a new range called Dancing Stars, which lists the Bossa Nova, Mambo, Rumba, Samba and Tango lines within.
We have decided upon the champagne coolers (very favourably priced at £65.00 per piece) and the Ice Buckets at a very reasonalbe £43.00 each. The pieces need to be seen to be belived as the value for money is tremendous.
Please watch this space as we predict these ranges to be very popular and there will be many more products to follow this inital foray.
