Since the dawn of time, well 6000BC, people have been drinking wine, and without some form of container, drinking it could be very difficult. Now there are many varieties of wine, each offering their own tastes, textures and aromas. There are also all kinds of wineware to accommodate these various varieties and help accentuate the flavours that they produce.

Florida started producing some new flavoured white and red wines by using berries, citrus fruits and limes. These wines have very distinct flavours and have become very popular all over the world.

For white wines we would recommend you try a Riedel Vinum Two Chablis/Chardonnay set, this is because they have long thin necks and a wide bowl with a narrow rim. This is the best way to drink white wine, through a glass that is not so wide to include your nose, but to help the flow of wine into your mouth. One great Florida white wine is the Florida Ice Wine, it has a rich overtone of sweet white raisins, plums and oranges

When drinking red wines it would be a better idea to try and drink out of a Riedel Vinum Two Glass Burgundy Pinot Noir Set, this is to allow for maximum swirling of the wine, the glass has a wide bowl so that the wine has maximum air contact, this allows for the flavours to be released aromatically. Cabernet Sauvignon is a very well known wine, and this particular one from Florida, has a whole array of flavours such as; blackberry, cherry, chocolate and almonds.

So if you’re thinking about going on Florida holidays, don’t forget about the wines that they produce, and try to remember which wine glasses are best for each wine.

The Vinturi system allows wine to breathe, opening it up and releases its aromas and flavours.

Vinturi’s patent pending design speeds up this process with ease and convenience. Perfect aeration in the time it takes to pour a glass.

The process is simple, all you need to do is hold the Vinturi over a glass and pour wine through. Simple! Vinturi draws in and mixes the proper amount of air for the right amount of time, allowing your wine to breathe instantly. You’ll notice a better bouquet, enhanced flavours and a smoother finish.

The Vinturi includes a No-Drip Stand and Travel Pouch, a perfect gift for any Red Wine lover.

How to cut a Pineapple is a question that gets most people, well now it’s a thing of the past! Whether you are using Pineapple for a delicious smoothie or to cook with your BBQ Chicken or Gammon, the VacuVin Pineapple Slicer is quick and easy and produces perfectly shaped rings.

The ingenious VacuVin Pineapple Slicer will peel, core and slice a fresh Pineapple in just 30 seconds! It works like a Corkscrew, removing the flesh in perfectly formed rings leaving the core in the shell. One turn, one slice, the whole Pineapple in one go. The shell remains intact for use as a desert or drinks bowl. Fresh, juicy, perfect Pineapple rings in less time than it takes to open a can!

The VacuVin Pineapple Slicer available in white plastic or stainless steel is a must have for your first and last BBQ this summer!

There are many methods and suggestions on what are the most effective and which is the best way of cleaning your wine glasses and decanters, from leaving them in soak overnight or just hoping for the best in the dishwasher!

I’ve never known who and what to believe but what I do know is that the best way to dry them sufficiently and make them shine for future usage is to use a light cleaning cloth. The majority of people go from cleaning their pots and pans to cleaning their wine glasses with the same cloth! Please DON’T do that! Our very own Wineware Glass Cleaning Cloth cleans thoroughly and scratch-free, removing grease from the bowl and stem and drying at the same time, leaving your glasses perfectly ready for your next tipple of Bordeaux or Burgundy.

I believe this IS the most effective way of drying and cleaning wine glasses and wine decanters, and for just £8.95, you can’t go wrong.
